Common questions before enquiring
What is Venue Yield?
Venue Yield is a measure of how efficiently a hospitality business converts the resources it already has — people, space, stock, time, customers and capital — into revenue, margin and profit. Turnover records what came through the till; Venue Yield asks what the business got from it.
What is OperatorOS?
OperatorOS is The Foundry's structured commercial optimisation system. It runs in six stages — baseline, diagnose, quantify, prioritise, optimise and measure — and reviews pricing, purchasing, labour, marketing, customer behaviour, digital and operations together rather than in isolation. Venue Yield is the measure; OperatorOS is the method.
Do I have to be struggling to work with you?
No. This is optimisation, not rescue. Venue Yield is as relevant to a strong, growing business as it is to an underperforming one — including groups adding sites, operators preparing to scale and buyers assessing an acquisition.
What does a Venue Yield Review involve?
A structured commercial review from £1,495. We work through the information you can share — EPOS data, purchasing and supplier pricing, rotas and payroll, opening hours, menus and pricing, marketing spend, booking and customer data and software costs — and return a Venue Yield Score, commercial baseline, key findings, identified opportunities, priority actions and an OperatorOS Improvement Plan. Where stock performance is relevant to the review and suitable information is available, StockLens AI may be used to support stock, usage, variance and GP analysis. The tools used depend on the venue, the information available and the agreed scope of the review.
Can you implement the changes, or just advise?
Both. Insight without execution changes nothing, so The Foundry can deliver the commercial, marketing, creative and digital work the improvement plan calls for, including pricing and supplier work, campaigns, social media, CRM, artwork, websites and automation.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Opportunities are presented as identified commercial opportunity, quantified where the data allows, and never as guaranteed savings or promised returns. What we commit to is a structured baseline, a prioritised plan and measurement against that baseline afterwards.
How do we get started?
Send the basics about the business and where performance feels weakest. We'll come back with how a Venue Yield Review would work for your venue and what we would expect to look at first.
